Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions
- "Verge" / "we" / "us" — Verge, a watch repair and servicing workshop at 19 Ratchadamnoen Road, Phra Sing, Muang, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
- "Client" / "you" — any individual or entity that brings in a watch for assessment or service, or that contacts us through this website.
- "Service" — any watch repair, servicing, or assessment work undertaken by Verge.
- "Service Record" — the written documentation issued upon completion of each service.
- "Agreement" — the terms set out on this page, which govern the relationship between Verge and any client.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a watch to Verge for assessment or service, or by using this website, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old to engage our services or submit information through this website. If you are acting on behalf of another person or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that party to these terms.
3. Services Offered
Verge provides the following watch repair and servicing options:
- Quartz Care & Refresh — cell renewal, contact cleaning, gasket check, water-resistance check. ฿3,700.
- Dial & Hands Refresh — dial cleaning and conservative refinishing of dials and hands. ฿13,900.
- Long-Service Overhaul & Record — full movement overhaul, regulation, seal renewal, photographic documentation. ฿31,800.
Services are available to clients who visit the workshop in Chiang Mai or, where agreed in advance, who send items by arrangement. We reserve the right to decline any piece we consider beyond our current scope of competence, and will communicate this clearly before any commitment is made.
4. Service Intake & Scope
Upon receipt of a watch, Verge will assess its condition and confirm the agreed scope of work before proceeding. If the assessment reveals conditions not covered by the stated service scope, we will contact the client before taking any further action. No additional work will be carried out without the client's explicit confirmation.
The client warrants that they are the lawful owner of any watch submitted for service, or that they have the owner's explicit authorisation to submit it. Verge accepts no liability for watches submitted without proper authorisation.
5. Pricing & Payment
Published prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of all work described within the relevant service scope. Payment is due upon collection of the completed watch. Accepted payment methods include cash (Thai Baht) and bank transfer.
If additional work is confirmed by the client during a service, this will be invoiced separately at a rate agreed before the work begins. Verge will not proceed with any additional work at an unconfirmed cost.
Where a client declines to proceed with a service after an initial assessment has been carried out, a nominal assessment fee may be applied. This will be communicated in advance.
6. Turnaround Times
Indicative durations are provided for each service: 2–3 working days for Quartz Care; 5–7 working days for Dial & Hands Refresh; 2–4 weeks for Long-Service Overhaul. These are estimates and not contractual deadlines. If a service is expected to take longer than estimated, we will notify the client. Verge is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including difficulty sourcing parts for older or less common movements.
7. Collection & Custody
Watches are held securely while in Verge's care. Collection is by the registered client or an authorised representative, confirmed by identity documentation. Verge will document each handover.
Watches not collected within 90 days of notification of completion may, at Verge's discretion, be subject to a storage charge. After 180 days without contact, Verge reserves the right to dispose of uncollected items in a manner consistent with applicable Thai law.
8. Disclaimers
Watch repair involves inherent risk, particularly with older or heavily worn movements. Verge will exercise due care in all work, but cannot warrant a specific outcome in all cases. In particular:
- We cannot warrant that all movements will achieve normal operating parameters after service
- Historical water resistance ratings may not be achievable on all older cases
- Dial and hands work may reveal pre-existing damage not visible prior to disassembly
In all cases, any issues identified will be communicated to the client before proceeding.
9. Limitation of Liability
Verge's liability to any client arising from a service shall not exceed the total amount paid by that client for the specific service in question. Verge shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of sentimental value, unless caused by negligence on our part.
Verge is not liable for pre-existing damage, latent defects, or faults that arise independently of the work carried out.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Verge website — including text, images, and structure — is the property of Verge or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without prior written consent.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes will be subject to the laws of Thailand and the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province.
Consumer rights under applicable Thai consumer protection legislation are not affected by these terms.
12. General Provisions
These terms constitute the entire agreement between Verge and the client in relation to service delivery. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. A failure by either party to exercise a right under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
13. Changes to These Terms
Verge may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
